Hello gorgeous people!

Christmas. Christmas, Christmas, CHRISTMAS!!!! I'm a Christmas junkie, I don't mind admitting it. It's such a beautiful time of year. Here in New Zealand the weather is warmer, we are all outdoors a lot longer (daylight savings allows for this), and we are all generally happier. Then there is the whole Christmas experience - the traditions, eating, drinking, giving...relaxing and having a ball - what's not to like??!!!

I am slowly converting my house into a verifiable Christmas experience for my beautiful boy. At almost 2 years old, I'm determined that this will be a spectacular Christmas for him. I just hadn't counted on us (LOML and I) going to America for a business conference mere weeks before the big day.

So far I have the tree up and decorated (along with the lounge), a new wreath has been made and hung on the front door, new bunting has been made to accommodate our much larger lounge. Santa sacks have been made, advent calender is being constructed, and extra decorations are being made...whew, not bad considering it's not even December yet!

Tomorrow's job? Bake the Christmas Cake!

We have arrived!

Well hello again beautiful people!

We have survived our first week in the stunning Orewa. Mind you, the week started off grey and stormy, and to start with, I have to admit, I wasn't so sure. My new home has the most amazing view of the estuary, you just can't help but smile when looking out at that over a morning coffee.

I'm amped to get sewing again...one small, minute problem though....machine would not fit in the car, so is having a holiday back in Hamilton! Can't wait for BIL to bring it back for me!!! I have black out fabric sitting ready and waiting for Monkey's room - must have darkness for the little man to sleep. Then it will be all on!!

I hope this finds you all well and excited about Easter, which is literally beating down the back door at my house. How about you? What are your Easter plans?

Mucho excitement!!

We are moving next weekend, from Hamilton to Orewa. This makes me smile. Not because I am happy to be leaving my wonderous friends and support networks, but because I have always been a beach person, and in a way, I kinda feel like I'm going home. Weird, as the in laws will be living over our back fence, and definitely not Hastings (where I grew up). They say home is where the heart is, and this is definitely true for me, as my heart (the LOML) has been there from Sunday to Friday for the last couple of months at least. Anyway, I digress, the reason I am so excited.....the house we are going to has 5 bedrooms! Yes, that's right, 5!!!! Which means that the following will happen...1 bedroom for us, 1 bedroom for monkey, 1 bedroom for guest room, 1 bedroom for office, and dadadadaddadddddaaaaaahhhhh....1 bedroom for SEWING ROOM!!!!!!! Bliss...I don't think I'm ever going to want to leave!

Big changes ahead

Just as things are getting off the ground, we are about to move - just waiting on the take over dates for the new house so that we can relocate to Orewa. It's going to be a bit of a mish, but it's exciting to see where life is going to take us in the near future.

I will be doing my absolute best to get my existing orders out as quickly as I can, but I do ask you to bear with me a bit - the next couple of weeks are going to be particularly manic!!

Speechless - and that doesn't happen often!!

WOW!! Goodness, holy moly, and eeeek! Well, the invites went out yesterday with the launching of my facebook page, and already the orders are rolling in. I suspect this little venture is going to make me quite busy! But that is great!! Nothing more rewarding than doing something that you LOVE.
